Alexandra Maria Lara has been a German/Romanian television actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is known for the roles she played in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her showbiz career in the early years of her life. At the age of 16, she turned 16, Alexandra had landed leading roles in several shows on television. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge in Downfall. This film received nominations for an Oscar and received critical and commercial success. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominated features featuring female stars. Alexandra is involved in many important projects both locally as well as internationally. This includes the British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historical miniseries Napoleon as well as other miniseries. In addition, she was part of both The Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
